I noticed on the product tour and fact sheet at

i'm not sure about which aeroplayer it is, but in the product tour the aeroplayer seems to have a interface like os4's audio player, and there's some visualisation playing, no version info is said in sony's site, i'm afraid that sony is only using a different version of audio player............
also, i think it is not wise that sony purchase liscenses from aerodrome to include a mp3 player in their low-end clie, it cost less for sony to included their audio player for tj35

ah, but "their audio player" works with the proprietary Sony Audio, not with the standard Palm audio API, so it's easier to use one that is already out there, than design a new one.

am I wrong?

The UX comes with an Audio Player designed for the Palm API...

Can the TJ35 AeroPlayer be able to extract it out and played it on any Clie devices since it is made for Clie under v1.0S

Aeroplayer requires a device which supports the Palm OS 5 sampled sound API. The NX, NZ and all earlier Clie models do not support this API.

Aeroplayer for Clie version 1.0s

My Aeroplayer came with my TJ35, installed in ROM.

Is it possible to upgrade? How do I upgrade? Will it be free?

yeah, you can upgrade...here is the text from their site....

Clie TJ35 Users! Unlock the full power of AeroPlayer!
How is the full version of AeroPlayer different than the version on my Clie?
AeroPlayer features several DSP modes not included on your Clie, including a real, 5-band graphic equalizer.
Volume Overdrive. When 100% volume just isn't loud enough, turn on volume overdrive and add up to 12 dB of boost!
Free updates! With a paid registration, you'll be able to run the latest version of AeroPlayer, including any new features added in the future.
What does it cost to upgrade from the version I already have?
Standard Registration -- $11.95 -- Save $3.00!
A standard AeroPlayer registration code unlocks the features listed above. Standard registration codes are valid for FREE updates to AeroPlayer for a period of one year.
Lifetime Registration -- $20.00 -- Save $9.95!
A lifetime AeroPlayer registration code unlocks the features listed above, and is valid for all future versions of AeroPlayer. With a lifetime registration, you'll never pay for an AeroPlayer update again!

BTW... I upgraded...the equalizer and the volume boost work as stated and is a nice addition to the installed player...(it also allows playlists and there are many skins available ). One thing is odd though... it does not install over the player that came with the Clie....there is a separate icon for launching the upgraded player... none of the features are accessable from the original player, (so you can "hide" the original icon depending on the launcher you are using and launch the player from the new icon)

I think Sony might actually get advertising fees for putting aeroplayer on their clies tempting users to register an upgrade. :-/

The UX50 has a standard palm sound API and is capable of running both Audioplayer and Aeroplayer.

Yep, I love AeroPlayer, it has better graphics with different skins. I have it installed on my UX & it's just GREAT :D.
Then I have AudioPlayer as a secondary, which I don't use much. :p

I recently purchased a TJ35 with the aeroplayer. In setting things up I downloaded the newest version of the player and accidentally installed the MP3 decoder v4.5.3. So now I keep getting the 15-day trial warning. But, I also have v. 4.5.2 installed that is not a trial. Anyone know how I delete the trial version? Or is there another solution?
