Has anyone else lost their CF Slot cover? Is it possible to order a new one?

I lost mine for a while. I used the useless 16 Meg CF card that came with my Nikon instead.

You could try and call Sony at 1-877-760-7669.

Lost mine on the 2nd week. Got it replaced over at the neighbourhood pda specialist. It costs next to nothing. But if you consider US$4.95 a steal for a tiny piece of plastic, go figure!

Mr. Thompson

I agree your idea seems good. However the NX does still see the card. Currently, you can not do anything with the card, but it still is drawing some amount of power. It might be negligible but it still is drawing some power. I would be concerned a little bit about that.

However if the push to make the CF functional becomes a reality, it will be wonderful to use your "useless" 16 meg card for additional memory!!! ( Please see the petition to make the CF slot usable, on another threads on this forum )

Do you actually mean a local shop near you sold you one, or is there an online company that sells them?

Called 877/760-7669 No part avaiable. Any other ideas folks? Seems a loose part like that should be avaiable. Also wish the CF slot had a open close mechanism like the mem stick. Thanks for the assistance.

nike33 - Correct me if I am wrong, but CF cards only draw power when they are initially recognized and during read or write operations.

BTW, my wife and I both signed the petition.

SFredbeard, don't know if you can get it online but got mine through my neighbourhood pda specialist. The guy didn't stock them. Had to wait a couple of days before picking it up from the shop.

Right! So I don't have to correct you, only agree with you ;)
