After looking at the design of this PDA months ago I was falling in love with it. One thing look for is non bulky items. This was perfect for a pda because it had bluetooth, wifi, and a keyboard in a small package.
:)
When I played with the PDA I was a little scared when it said PC only everywhere on the software. I have both a PC and Mac but I use my mac about 90% of the time so I rather use mac. When I got home it took me 20 mins if that to set up the bluetooth to sync in with my ical, address book, and other stuff. Everything flawlessly syncs between the 2 machines. This made me very very happy (and not so scared anymore).
;)
After I did that I wanted to find out how the heck to use bluetooth to my nokia cell phone to connect to the internet. I tryied looking on the internet and I found cliesources website :) I read the directions on how to do it and got it to work. The directions werent 100% clear but I got it to work. I found out theres 2 ways to set up the phone to use t-mobile.
a)If you have unlimited internet use Bluetooth Lan
b)If you have tzones only use Bluetooth Modem
:)
Now that I have that all set up I can always be on track with incomming emails. Now Im going to get into the email program
:(
Clie Email is very limited on what you can do with it. Theres no html with this program. So basically the email that you will get that has email will see a bunch <font></font> everywhere which can be very annoying. HTML email is very very important to me. I always get pictures in the emails people on vactions and I also get random people telling me how to enlongate my private parts (hehe). I then found out theres a program called snappermail which does some limited html in there email. I did a 30 day trail on it and im happier with it then cliemail but its still not perfect, so I will prob register it.
:(
Now with the Web Program (netfront). I would love if netfront worked better. I like the way it works and everything but it seems that flash works on about 70% of the flash sites. Also popup windows dont work (alot of login screens us popups). And the java doesnt seem to work all the time either and css. I would love someone to tell me if theres a better web browser for the clie.
:(
I wish they added a option to the the phone so that the phone can find different networks on its own. At home I use wireless Lan and on the road I use bluetooth. I wish there was a way for the clie to automatically switch between networks if one isnt avaliable.
:(
One option I love about the ux clie is that you can dail a bluetooth phone from it. This is very useful to me because I hate using phones to search for numbers.
:)
One bad thing is if you double click on a mobile number for some odd reason it trys to send a email to it insted of dailing it!
:(

Conclusion
UX is a awesome looking unit with a great size and design.
The software with it has some problems hopefully there will be or is programs to replace the programs you dont like :)

I think the UX is the best PDA out there but still has some issues.

Maybe the mobile icon means SMS? Sounds good and glad to see the UX is a good device for you.

I don't see any setting for Flash, but the UX50 does include the Flash player program and Flash is seen inside NetFront by default (in my unit, at least).
