My battery does not seem to be recharging when it is in the cradle and connected to the PC. Do I need to keep the Clie turned on to recharge?

No, your Clie doesn't need to be switched on to charge on your cradle. Does your power light (on the on/off switch) turn orange when it's dropped into the cradle? In the cradle and switched on, does the battery symbol have a flash symbol through it? Worth checking the mains connection into the rear of your cradle.

It should not matter if the Clie is on or off, to charge. I do notice that if somtimes you do not sit it right in the cradle, it does not charge. A slight wiggle usally takes care of that.

Is it posibble that you have some dust or dirt in the bottom connector of the Clie or the connecter on the cradle?
