ok so would a gps cable/rceeiver that works with the Sony NR/NX/T Series work with my sj30? i wan to say yes but the model is not specifically listed... thanks

As I understand it, the T series uses the same sync connector as the SJ30, so a cable that connects to that connector should work. I am using cables from http://pc-mobile.net/clie.htm to connect my SJ30 to a Magellan GPS315.

some guy made a GPS receiver that worked with his Clie, its powered by the Clie and costs 80 bucks, if i find the link ill post it.

This is actually a PS2 GPS and an adapter for the T-Series, which is the same connector as the SL/SJ

mapopolis.com confirmed that their holux gps mouse rig does indeed support the sj30... mine is in the mail... i'll post a review when i get it...
they updated their website to state that "This unit works with the Sony Clie PEG-NR70, PEG-NR70V, PEG-NX60, PEG-NX70V, PEG-T400, PEG-T415, PEG-T415C, PEG-T425, PEG-T600C, PEG-T615C, PEG-T625C, PEG-T650C, PEG-T665C, PEG-SL10, PEG-SJ20, and PEG-SJ30. "
