NR to NX

I am soon going to go up to the NX. Can NOT wait.

My question is: Are the address book entries I have (100's) compatable with Palm OS 5? Does the new software deal with my current Palm desktop entries?

Any tips from those out there who have already upgraded? Any nightmares?

Do NOT HotSync your NR70 files directly to the new NX, unless you want problems! The address book entries are compatible and all I did was beam them to my new Clie. Make a copy of your current Sony Handheld folder and clear out the folder with the HotSync name before HotSyncing your new Clie. You won't need to if your changing the HotSync name. I manually added my apps to the new Clie, one at a time, you can also put them on the memory stick in an out of the way place and slowly try them out to see which ones work or not. Keep in mind that the display API's are different between the two units. Most softwares have been updated. If you use YiShow, be careful, the new NX will require the Palm version to run. I hope this helps you some.

Great.. I don't use YiShow, so that won't be a prob. Any idea if the Senna case for the NR fits the NX??

don't think the senna case will fit the nx as the nx has this extra cf card slot; but as i will stick with my nr: do you want to sell it?

My NR CoverTec case fits my NX just fine . . . your case MAY fit, I'd wait and see!

Not selling it - bought the "technology urgrade" from Comp USA...
