Here's the response I got after e-mailing customer service through the link on clieplanet.
I'm afraid currently we do not have drivers to make your CLIE Handheld compatible with CF memory cards. However let me assure you that our team is working on it and a release can be expected in the near future.
I was obviously aware of the first part, but has anyone else received a message confirming that sony is working on a cf driver?
or am i just stupid and has everybody else received this message?

Thank you for contacting us with your suggestions on Sony's CLIE handhelds.
Glad to know that you are a loyal Sony customer. Customer satisfaction is a matter of paramount importance to Sony. Customers are Sony's assets, and Sony does not have any kind of policy intended to drive customers away from itself. We beleive that when you purchase a Sony product, it indicates the start of a long and fulfilling mutually beneficial relationship.
I'm afraid currently there is no CLIE at our site that has a driver for the Compact Flash Card. However, we appreciate your suggestions and will forward the same to our Product Developement team. They will soon come up with the necessary modifications in the exiting models.
Please feel free to contact SonyStyle team with any further suggestions.

After running the latest Sony Patch, I inserted a cf memory card. Running the Card Info Program actually saw the cf card. It stated CF+ Card Size Size: None, Device ID:
One of the files installed for the patch was cflib v 1.01. Perhaps this library is teh one that needs further updating any we are getting close.

PLEASE READ:
Again, I was able to speak with Mr. David Yang of Sony and as with my suggestion, he is proposing that we rather create a formal petition rather than sending numerous emails which they wouldn't have time to read and reply to.
I have created a new thread. I hope everyone supports it:
Sony CF Driver Petition Brainstorming (http://www.cliesource.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2825)

You, our most noble leader, requested that we refrain from mass email to Sony et al. Most of us agreed to "chill" on the CF issue and not email Mr. Young. However isn't about time you perhaps pay Mr. Young another phone visit? Please let us know the outcome.
Thanks!
Please be patient. On the CF Driver Petition Brainstorming, Reggie clearly mentioned that it will be forwarded to David (or Danny) Yang at the end of this month. We still have 9 days. By the end of February, I guess Reggie will contact him either by phone or email.

Considering that my WiFi card lives in the slot 24/7, I'd rather have positive feedback on lower MS PRO prices, at this point.

The NX has recognized CF memory since it first came out.....it just can't do more than say that you inserted a CF memory card

i am not a programmer... some people are star trek fans, there are a lot of petition sites.
why don't you create a sub-site of cliesource? just a site where we can register (name, location, which NX/NZ clie you have)
what do you think? this would be cool, since yang will get ONE e-mail (maybe with excel or access file)???
