Right now, I have a SL-10, and I am planning on upgrading to a color unit. I have a problem deciding what to upgrade to, however. I would like to go to a T665c, but I fear that Sony's product life for that model may be short since releasing the SL/J and NR/X/Z series handhelds. So, I ask you all of this question: If you were going to purchase either of these two models, which would you go with?
Thanks,

Product life is irrelevant, both models will last as long as you take care of them. The main differences are pretty clear, just depends on your preferences-
Shape?
MP3?
Battery life?
Processor speed?
If you like your SJ10, the SJ30 is basically the same with color, 16MB RAM, and rechargeable battery (good battery life). You should be able to find it for around $200 now.
You may want to consider the new SJ33 (I am!), which is similar to the SJ30 but adds MP3 and the better speaker. It will cost around $300 when released in later this month.

If all you really want is a color model, and the other bells and whistles don't matter (enhanced IR, better speaker, etc. for T665 or similiar in SJ33) then the announced SJ22 may be up your alley. It will run about $200, and from what I've heard will be in the same new body (plus some modifications) as the SJ33 with the integrated hard cover.
I bought my SJ30 back in November of last year, and it has been serving we very well. With the right alarm sound, it is effective at waking a sound sleeper like me up. I just wish it had an enhanced IR port, but for me I'm waiting for a small Sony OS5 model with a 320*480 screen and the right features.

You can get the SJ30 from Bestbuy.com for $219, with free shipping and a $50 digital coupon. Not a bad deal-

i'd also suggest waiting a bit for the SJ22/33... that's what i'm doing. but a lot of folks here don't really like those models. if you're leaning toward t665, wait for the SJ33. if not, then go for the SJ30... great price right now for great features.

I've had both the SJ30 and the T665.
I've found this about the units
SJ30:
Excellent battery life-I could use if for an hour and the battery would still be at 100%
Cheap plastic casing-easily scratches
Sturdily built-it feels very solid
T665:
OK battery life-less then the SJ30 but still pretty good for me
Excellent metal casing-it seems almost scratch proof to me
A screen without the shadowing on the SJ30
I'm love my T665 but it all comes down to what you need in a PDA.
