I cant seem to find the Create BackImage/Shortcut button for ZLauncher? Anyone know where it is? It says this in ZLauncher's manual:

Converting Background Image:

ZLauncher can directly convert BMP/PGP/JPG files into background image databases. There's 3 ways for converting your own background image files:

* Drag a supported picture file to the Create BackImage/ShortCut button, then it will be converted into a background image, and set as the current background image automatically.

* Tap on the supported picture file for one second, then select "Back Image" from the popup menu. Then it will be converted into a background image, and set as the current background image automatically.

* Go to the Theme Manager, then open the BackImage, select a picture file, then tap the "Select" button from the pop up Operating Dialog. When you tap the OK button to exit the Theme Manager, the selected picture file be converted into a background image, and set as the current background image automatically.

I don't think there is actually a shortcut button just for the back image. You can drag a JPG, BMP, or GIF file to the Theme Manager icon and that will automatically set that image as the new back image. In addition, any of the other methods that you quoted from the manual work also.

I'm not familiar with method 1 or aware of the tool mentioned.

For method 2: Using the card tab, move to the directory with the image you want to use. Tap and hold on the image file in the launcher. Select Back Image from the popup menu.

Method 3 is the simplest. Just put all the jpgs and bmps that you want to use as backgrounds into the /Palm/Programs/ZLauncher/Backimage/ directory on the stick. Then go into Theme Manager, tap the Back Image tab, then tap on the image file that you want to make the background. Choose Select from the popup menu, then OK at the bottom.

Method 3 is preferred because Theme Manager will delete the current background image from RAM automatically when a new one is selected. The other two methods require you to delete the current background file from RAM (if that's your desire) after the new one is set.

Yap, method 3 is what I use.
