As you all know that a 25% off offer code is supplied for purchase on accessories after your register with sony. I believe this 25% offer code will only allow you to purchase one product/accessory. Now I am torned between the extended battery or the memory stick tv recorder....any suggestions? Thanks!

I used my 25% discount on the extended battery. Be forewarned, however; it wasn't until after I completed my purchase that Sony informed me that the extended batteries are "currently out of stock." Mine is expected to ship on 10/16/03. Still, I did save 25% on it.

I got my KB100 keyboard for 25% off, but it's not for the UX. So it was a nice substanstial savings anyway!:)

Call me crazy, but I used the coupon to get $75 off the Clie video recorder. I am tired of wasting hours trying to convert video and I have no way to connect my cable to my computer (the two are far apart and I don't want to pay to have another cable line in my house). Sony has a nice 30 day return policy so if it doesn't work with DVDs and I am not happy with it then it is going back. Now I have to go spend some bucks on a larger Memory Stick.

Now here's a topic near and dear to my heart! I've been struggling with this issues in other threads for days now and it's nice to see that others are over the EXACT same items (the extended battery or the newly announced PVR (personal video recorder).
I suspect that I too will take the plunge on the PVR. While I most likely will get the battery as well, the $75.00 savings on the recorder make the price just a bit more acceptable. I'm still concerned about the video quality, copyright protections... just like everyone else, but at $225 vs $300, I'm more likely to risk it.
I'm wondering though, if the video will be full screen and smooth at the reduced resolutions that the recorder offers? Also, is there any chance that it will be upgradeable (firmware) to a higher resolution at a later time (I realize that's VERY unlikely or unfeasable)?
Well, I have until October 5th to make up my mind, but I appreciate the input here!
Have a Clie Day! :p

I want to get the pvr, but my boss (wife) will kill me. She would rather have a Tivo than a pvr where you can only watch the recorded content on the clie at 15fps, not to mention that most like would need to buy a 1GB MS. But I really like the idea of pvr though....and at $75 discount, how can you beat that?
I guess I'll end up getting the extended battery...its easier to hide an extended battery from my boss than having a pvr standing ontop of our tv set.
