hi, just wonder how long it might take SONY to lower their prices. with competition from dell prices for TT went down, but SONY devices are stimm pretty expensive. following are cheapest prices in germany (euro equals dollar more or less):

tt: 396 €

nz: n.a.
nx: 565 € --> i want that thing under 500!)
nr: 424 € --> paid 480 for a used one just 2 months ago ;-(

any better prices?

p.s.
let's better not talk about sony's ridicilous prices on stuff like bluetooth memstick; memstick pro; wifi card and stuff

The RRP for a sony Clie NX70V here is Australia is AU$1350 (US$796/737 €) so i dont think you have much ground to complain on the prices.

why is it so expensive down under? any special taxes? as the device is manufactured in asia, it should actually cost less then in europe or the us?

costs to other countries involve many things, import levi costs, distributer costs (some countries only allow imports if you have a local business manage the distribution and that business can add what ever distribution costs they want). It can get complicated in some locations so prices can vary a lot. This is all on top of standard supply and demand pricing....
