Can anybody think of a way to create a keyboard shortcuts to do things like:

Enter the date and time such as in a memo.

Click the new button such as in memo or address etc.

I want to find a way to eliminate as much as possible the need to pull out the pen. Maybe there is a hack out there to do keyboard shortcuts?

Thanks

You can customize what the hard buttons do on the front of the clie. I have one set to do a hot sync...etc. I am not sure if you can get them to do the sort of things your talking about that would involve some sort of macro I believe. I have looked around for some utilities to do this and haven't found on e yet...there are a few that can change certain things like Keyboard Hack and Button hack and PowerOn Hack. Try a google search...

Try KeyQuick - Its not well documented, but it appears to do this...

I just tried KeyQuick and to say it is poorly documented is an understatement. It may do what I want but on initial loading and playing around with it I have no clue.

I really wanted to figure this out, and spent significant time working with KeyQuick and the author's docs.

I'm thinking about writing my own tutorial on using KeyQuick, and in the meantime, am willing to try to help people make it do what they want.

No promises I'll be successful, of course :-)

On your specific request, vamp07, clicking buttons is no big problem. I'm not sure how to paste date/time, but am going to take a look. It's possible this may have to be done in conjunction with a DA.
