Walk me through connecting to AP

Hi All,

I just picked up a UX-50 today and knowing little about WiFi, was wondering whether you experts could walk me through connecting to an access point (such as found in various airport terminals or Starbucks)?

Reading through the manual, it seems you need to know a bunch of parameters of the AP prior to connecting the UX-50.

How would I know the parameters ahead of time for these AP?

Also, is there an "AP scanner" utility built into the UX-50 that will indicate all the active WiFi APs in the area?

Prefs -  dropdown Network  -  dropdown Service to Wireless Lan  -  tap Details  -  tap Scan

If an access point exists, you will be able to select it from the list and tap Connect. That may not guarantee you access, but it will find the point for you
