View Full Version : So how much better is a landscape screen than a square one?

I have a TG50, and am considering mainly the T3, Zodiac, but also maybe the UX50. I hate to give up the keyboard, but I think it will be worth it for a bigger landscape screen (web, Docs To Go, Shadow outliner, and photos).

Of course, you need compatible apps. But assuming that most major apps will support landscape for all these devices, is it as good as you hoped? A landscape screen will obviously fit more text/information, and seems like it would feel less 'cramped' (like a square screen does).

Thanks!

It helps - I can't imagine not having a keyboard like this after using it for a few days -- Grafitti is hardly used at all.

Support should be coming - with T3 and Zodiac in the same boat...

I agree with Omitron. It's not so much the wide screen that is the best feature, but the larger keyboard. It's tactile and the layout is perfect, and it contains enough shortcuts for it to almost completely replace the stylus. Awesome.

I'm sitting in Starbucks taking advantage of the free wireless day - this is incredible being able to use UX50 for reading email and surfing websites. The landscape screen truly has it's advantages.
