Besides surfing the net and emailing, what do you guys use the WiFi card for?

Is it possible to stream MP3s or MPEGs off the network onto your clie? I'm debating whether to purchase one or not...

Thanks

Well first off, email is OK. But as for surfing the net is concerned, I find the fantastic Sony screen still is a little too small for meaningful surfing or productive use. IMHO.

One little cool trick I do like using the WiFi for, is to update the multi city weather forecasts on WorldMate.

I use it for hotsyncing so I don't have to take my CLIE out of the Sena leather case. I have also been playing around with VNC and controlling my desktop, although I haven't used it for anything other than to goof around.

What do yo mean? DO you mean that you can access your PC files and folders from your Clie? What's the name of the software that allows you to do that?

Thanks,

Al

I use the card primarily for e-mail and browsing; NetFront works fine with regular sites (I'm sure Larry will post soon to disagree <g>) but I use it most with Palm-optimized sites (site versions designed for use with Avantgo). I hotsync wirelessly on occasion, but since you can't load files to the MS this way, I use an FTP client just as often.
I also use it to control my PC, though I prefer Win-Hand to VNC; that said, VNC is a viable solution, and a better choice if multiple platform compatibility is a requirement

Check out this thread, http://www.cliesource.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=39&highlight=vnc. Many prefer Win-Hand, but I haven't tried it out myself yet.

Yes, hotsyncing without installing to the card is one area that should be improved.
