I DONT KNOW IF IT HAS BEEN POSTED BEFORE, ANYWAY, I WANT TO RE INSTALL MY WIFE'S PALM III-C (IT USED TO BE MINE) BUT I DONT KNOW HOW TO DO IT, YOU SEE, WHEN I INSTALLED MY NX70V ON MY VAIO PC, SONY JUST WROTE OVER MY PALM IIIC, I WAS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE IIIC PROBABLY BECAUSE IT WONT TAKE THE SONY'S 5.0 OS, PLEASE HELP..... :(

Are you sure it wrote over the old files? Palm and Sony use diferent folders from each other. Sony always defaults to x:\Program Files\Sony Handheld\, x= is your local hard drive. Palm is x:\Program Files\Palm\, or something like that. Once you install the Sony, the desktop will not look at the old folders again.

The Sony desktop is perfectly happy hotsyncing to standard Palm devices, including the older serial ones. I've done that with a HandEra 330. However, since it is installed in a different location as N2IFP pointed out, it "looses" all of the old data.
