It should flash, even while trying to connect, I'd say exchange it!

Replaced it at BBuy and they did so without a question; in fact because I had the NX with me they said that they would change IT out if it was not the little wifi card causing the issue. Cool...

The upgrade shouldn't have caused it. Do you have an IP clash? Highly probable if you have wired and wireless tied together.

Nope, just wireless. I turned the WEP off and in the linksys check the IP numbers and keyed those into the Clie... that is what I did before when it worked... now it does not work...

I had to have everything set manually and no power save. I run a Linksys WAP11 into a wired 4 port Linksys.

The DNS addresses in the Clie are set to my ISP.

The gateway is my 4 port router IP(192.168.1.1).

Subnet mask is 255.255.255.0 My IP, manually chosen is 192.168.1.103.

My SSID is my last name, 128 bit hex WEP key and infrastructure mode.

In the HotSync app:

Modem sync prefs: network

LAN sync: network

Primary PC name: !!

Primary PC Address: 192.168.1.100

Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

Connection: cradle/cradle

Would these settings also apply to the latest Linksys G series router?

The latest 54g router/WAP has many documented problems with 11b devices, including the CLIE Wifi card.

I'm screwed. I got the 54g and it is a piece of crap. I expected wireless to be tough but this is down right impossible.

Oh...where is the documentation. Perhaps, there is a workaround or pre-cautions.

Return the 54g, it will not work per Linksys with the Sony card

Yes. I got the netgear wireless router and I'm in business. It works well with no problems. THANKS.

Likewise...it replaced my linksys BEFSR411. Setup was a breeze! I now have my Clie added wirelessly to my already wired home LAN.
