So I had already read the response below and had already done a soft-reset or disable "Enable background play" to make it work with the NX70V before I posted to begin with. Neither of which had made things work as they evidently are supposed to.
So where does one get that unnamed library file that works with the NX70V? Doing a search I came up with I think the one that is needed: the SonyMMutilLib.prc from English UX50. But post seemed t obe talking about using it with the NX73 & NX80.
blarrain:When I remove the MS & have the CF in just says no memory stick (NX70V with the CF utility etc). It doesn't switch to the other card automatically. If I go to the about memory sticK I can then switch it to the CF card. But then it says no music tracks yet in the ?palm/programs/msaudio/ there is a MP3List.mpu file. Know how to get the tracks to show up.

You need that library to make things done. Or you need to do a soft-reset or disable "Enable background play" to make it works.
