mounting the memory stick

I bought a T665 today as well as missing sync. I followed the directions to get the stick to appear on the desktop and I get nothing. The computer (a G4 but one of the first ones) knows it's there when I check the apple profiler ut I can't get it on the screen. I put the clie on the cradle, press msimport and then Iphoto opens. In addition, the clie is not a source for Itunes.

does anyone have any ideas

This is detailed in Missing Sync's FAQ on their web site. They say "OS X If iPhoto launches automatically, you'll want to turn off HotPlug action in Image Capture. Open Applications > Image Capture and disable HotPlug action."
I had the same problem and this fixed it for me.

Press MSImport, quit iphoto, wait a bit, there should be an external hard drive on your desktop, and when you open itunes there is like a playlist that says "Sony CLIE" this is how it works on my NX, may be different for you.
