I have moved my Microsoft Word File(.DOC) to my Sony Memory Stick. I have installed QuickOffice Premier 7.1.5 too.
How can I read my doc file by QOffice?
Infact, I don't like the idea of synchronization.

Another question, How can I beam the file from my pc to my memory stick?

I am useing Sony NX-73V(OS5).

newest QOffice should be able to open native word and excel files, although I failed to save them propoerly after edit so I have go back to dtg....of what I remember, you can tap the MS icon on lower right hand corner then it will do a search, then tap the most lower right hand corner icon it will let you will see a "W" icon. Tap the "W" icon will see the native doc in MS

to beam file your PC need to have IR also. Then just point the IR directly to each other. The PC should detect your 73V.

Sigh, i tried it. but when I beamed a doc file from pc to my 73V, the pc told me finished, but 73v was frozen. I have to reset it.

Why? and how to use beampro accept doc file beamed by PC?

I would suggest McFile (http://www.jade.dti.ne.jp/~imazeki/palm/McFL/index-e.html). AFAIK this app is the only app wich isn't picky regarding recieving all kinds of file-types. You must be in McFile when recieving, though.

Did you setup BeamPro to always use expansion card? You can't beam that file type to RAM, only prc and pdb file types.

Now I use SmbMate via WiFi and I can download windows executibles too!:)

Most file managers use the RAM in the transfer process.

Do I have to close the integrated beam function off to make BeamPro work? I have installed QuickOffice. And everytime when I beam a DOC file to my Clie, it will be transfered to html by QuickOffice automatically or manually(by option). If I say don't transfer, the file disappears.

And DOC file seems can't be editted by QuickOffice directly?

No, it should be on, but I never tried to experiment with it.

Sorry, I don't use Quick Office. BeamPro should be able to send or receive any file to and from the memory stick!

RAM only accepts prc and pdb file types.

In quickoffice you can open files. But the trick is, when you edit the file and close the document, a duplicate will be created that has a 1 at the end. That file will have all your recent changes.

I'm going to get docs to go 6 soon to see how it does at creating/editing doc files.
