I'm wondering if the price of the NX70 will go down with the release of the NZ90...
They didn't say that the NZ90 will take the NX70's place (like it was with the NR...)?!

Since I purchased my Clie NX70V only last month, if the price goes down, I don't want to hear about it.

Correct, but I can't imagine it won't start to drop. THe problem that I am worried about is that not only will the price drop, so will the support.

I highly doubt the NZ90 will lower the price of the NX70V.
See, the NX was made to replace the NR. The NZ was not made to replace the NX. This is why the NZ costs $200 more. When the NX first came out it was as much as the NR when it first came out. It's like with any other PDA company, they usually try to make a high end and a low end PDA. Sony has just completed there list going from low end to high end to the highest end.
I don't think the price will drop.
Enjoy.

The support for the NX should remain the same or even get better.
Let us not forget that the NZ is just an NX, with fancier clothes.

I was more worried about the exterior stuff, case, stylus (already hard to find locally) and such.
I also thought someone here said something about the connector on the bottom and/or MS compatibility.

You can get the NX70V at Sony.com for $500 if you register on Sony's mysony.com. I found that out last week after I bought mine at regular price at Best Buy.

I have already seen the NX advertised somewhere for about $70 off the 600$ price, my guess is that it will drop to $499 when the NZ comes out.

I think that it will drop, maybe by like $50.

I got my gunmetal for 537 at myinfinity.com (free 2nd day shipping!). It seems like these models are fewer and in higher demand. The ones for 514 charge for shipping, and dont ship out the gunmetal color NX's

You can find it for about $515 - $550 including shipping at a number of retailers. On eBay new ones go for about $500 or so. There are REALLY deals once you start using coupons or price matching. CompUSA has them for $539 (online) right now. Staples will match this price and then take a $50 off coupon (check the net these are everywhere) so you can get one for $489 + tax. Also frequent deals at Dell. By the first week of March (assuming the NZ is out on time) you will be able to pick up an NX70v for $400 - $450. I have had 2 seperate deals fall through so I am just gonna wait it out and buy a new one in 6 weeks or buy a used one from someone who is upgrading...

I in fact get most of my NX "exterior stuff" from eBay. Battery Packs. stylus (3 for 13.00 with pen), cables, etc. There is a glut of stuff on eBay for the NX. Cases made by third parties are more often superior to the ones offered by Sony. IMHO it is a little too soon to worry about peripherals for the NX. In a couple of years, it will be a different story. But for now, I see a lot of "stuff" around for the NX.
Also IMHO again, I do not think a lot of people will flock to the NZ. I would think the NX will have a nice ripe old age run of about 2 years or so. ( It is a general consensus that a PDA has a useful life of about 2 years )
Again all this is my take on a market segment of computing that NEVER ceases to amaze me. Who would of thunk we would have 400 mz hand held computers, just 5 years ago, with color screens no less!

Who cares! :) There will be so many new Sony Clie models coming out, that we'll be sick of them.

I too get much of my stuff from EBay. The point of my post was getting it locally. I ordered my Stylus here (1 day to get, great!) and still haev not found a suitable case, however it would be nice to see and touch, rather then hope it is manufactured well.

I see your point about the "see and touch" However a case is just a case to PROTECT the Clie. First you have to decide on the design (Leather, Metal, Book or flip) and your day to day use of the Clie. Then you pick a case. The "look" of the case, IMHO, is less important than say how and where you use the case, and most importantly how well it protects your Clie investment.
I have a Krusell slip, and a Bellagio (book style) for my NR, and a Bellagio Slip for my ZX ( Which I just received today )
Bellagio and Krusell make fine cases. Both companies exceeded my scrutiny on design and quality of construction.
I don’t know if you have seen the Pelican hard case. You can ALMOST go skin-diving with it!
Err sorry I rambled on.....just was trying to feed you some input on cases.
