Hi all -
Just got a UX50 and it's great. I am having a little issue though.
I have a T68i phone, and an HBH-35 headset. I can get the UX50 to dial the phone from the address book, but once the phone is calling it can't connect the call to the headset. My understanding is that the T68i can't be a slave in the PDA-Phone piconet and a master in the Phone-Headset piconet at the same time, but I've actually done this with a Tungsten T and it worked fine. Is there a way to make it work with the Clie? If not, is a firmware upgrade for the phone helpful? I am currently using R3A.
Anybody out there got this working? I can do SMS and GPRS data with the phone, and sync with my PC just fine. It's just this one thing, dialing out from the PDA...
Many thanks!
Andrew

R3A is really too old, i think the latest is R8A, bluetooth has evolved and is better with latest releases.
I really advice u to upgrade before getting too deep in trying to sort this out

I have the UX50, T68I, and the Bluetooth Headset HBH-60. I just dial via bluetooth and wait about 3 second and press the transfer call/answer call button on the headset and it transfers.

Hey all - just a quick update.
I talked to my local Cingular service center and they told me they had so many problems with the T68i that they would give me a T616 free! I ran over there before they came to their senses, and sure enough, a new T616 for me!
I now have it all working very smartly. UX50 dials T616, T616 puts call in headset. It's like I'm in the future!
Thanks for your help everybody!

Yeah -- I have the T610 and HBH-60.
I dial from the address book on my UX50, wait a second or two, then press the call button on the HBH-60 headset. The call generally transfers before the first ring is over.
Very handy. Phone stays in my bag most of the day. It is like being in the future.

I see a number of folks mentioning they are able to tap-and-dial (I assume using ContactsPro), as well as establishing a CSD/GPRS channel to their UX50 using a BT link to a SE T616 phone. I am able to do neither of these functions.
When attempting to tap-and-dial from ContactsPro, I get the message "Phone Error: Feature not supported by device or network." I have established that the physical layer BT link between the two works properly (both are in each other's list of trusted devices).
I am a Cingular subscriber and have called for help on the GPRS connection via BT but there was no one of any help (the CSR I spoke to hadn't even heard of BT, and she refused to pass me on to someone more technically knowledgeable). Perhaps this is a sign I should switch to T-mobile, since that seems to be what may of you folks are using successfully.
Any help would be greatly appreciated regarding setup specifics (I've fiddled with about everything I can think of and have exhausted documentation, SE support sites, etc.).
