I have noticed that my NX70V has the following file internally: "hotsyncupdateNR70"

Just wondering if this should be there or if this somehow migrated onto my NX from my previous Clie, NR70. Can anyone advise?

I think it came from an NR system patch. It's definitely not on my NX, so I would go ahead and delete it. You may need to do a warm reset (hold the Up button down, hit the reset, and keep holding the Up button until you see the Palm OS logo) before you can delete it.

Must be a stowaway. I don't see a file like that on my NX.

Thanks for the insight gentle men. While I'm at it, what about these other files (Just trying to free up internal memory) :

- HotSyncLoader
- HoldExtn
- GAHS

Thanks for the input!!

HoldExtn also came from an NR patch; it's actually the file that caused problems with alarms on the NR. I believe the HotSyncLoader file also came from the same patch; it's not on my NX. I don't recognize GAHS at all, but it's definitely not on my NX. Go to Clie Files, select GAHS, then click on All databases at the top and change it to Creator Group. Do any other files show up with GAHS? If so, do they help you figure out which app needs it?
