As charging on the charger seems to be annoying for traveling (I will receive my ux in October ):( ) I know I saw that a Brando type flexy USB sync and charge thingy will soon be available but cannot remember where I read that item. Maybe Clieplanet ?

Any ideas anyone ?

As far as I can tell, the UX can not be charged via USB.

The power terminals are 4 squares on the back.

Even Sony's "Charger Cable" requires that you have the UX50 base to charge. This is kind of an issue for me when travelling -- I like to travel light.

You can charge via USB, however you need to make some modifications to the UX-50's USB port. And as far as I know, there is only one company that does this modification and it's located in Japan.

There was a thread earlier about this product.

There's even a link to the manufacture's site, but it's in Japanese.
