View Full Version : Problem with Video Recorder

Everytime I try to record a video I record 2 seconds and then I get this error message that says "A temporary Load Limit"
then "Due to the limitation of the recording process, video recording will be aborted"
What the heck is going on? I'm still in HK and I don't want to do a hard reset until I get back to the states. A soft reset doesn't fix anything. I still have 4487K of RAm and 4432K of Flash, so how the heck do I have a load limit?
Anyone every heard of this problem? I never use the video recorder anyways, but its nice to know that it "works" thanks =)
btw, I found a really nice case here in HK. It is made by a company called "CapDase" and it features a clip on style clip on the bottom that hugs both sides of the clie and snaps into place. It is pretty slim, and leaves the keyboard unhindered. They sell two models, a flip top and a side open leather case. They offer card pockets and 2 memory stick slots. I couldn't decide which one I wanted so I bought both of them. Anyone want a side open case? I'll try to post pictures... its too new can't find any pics online.

Make sure that you've upped the limit of how long the video can record. Click on the wrench icon, or tools icon.
Then, the second bubble from the top will say, "TimeLimit Rec" Make sure that says something like 60min. I always leave it at the highest setting, knowing that I'll never "forget" to stop recording.
Your's might be saying "3 sec.," which would explain your problem. Maybe. Hope that helps!

I have the same problem now..
Had the unit for a whole year, never had this problem.
I have huge CF and MS cards in the unit so memory is not an issue. In addition, my max recording time is set to 60mins.
Any body else with this problem?
When recording, it seems like the bitrate gets exceeded and the machine hiccups. On playback of these clips (usually 25-30 seconds long) you can see times when the recording goes over the bitrate and gets REALLY choppy.

Me too
This has started popping up on my NX73V
My feeling is that it's a timing issue as another recent "feature" appearing out of the blue is that mobipocket now scrolls too fast to read at the breakfast table.
Feels as if it's overclocked itself and the MS can't keep up!
Also, hard reset makes no difference... HELP! I don't want to send it back to Sony, I need it!

I have had this issue in the past - it appears to be related to having programs that are "resident".
I have some applications that allow for pen strokes across the icons. One of these is Zlauncher that allows for quicklaunch from the menu to apps button. I had others applications like Graffiti Anywhere, MiD dictionary, snapcalc and such and I had to turn off all of these applications. Then the video recorder worked.

It has to do with the CF Utility. I have the same issue when it is loaded on my NX70V.

I had this problem on my NX80V while using a 512mb MS Pro and I did a hard reset. Afterwards, I loaded a couple programs at a time and tested the recorder each time. Finally, I found a few programs that interfered and I took them off. Recorder is working fine now.

Can you give us a list of the apps that messed it up?

I think it's got something to do with ms speeds
It happened with my purple stick, net my pro (on nx73)
Mabye something slowed down your mem stick somehow...
No idea what would have, though

For anyone who hasn't found a solution yet, read these two threads:

I've been having the same problems. From the sounds of it, it may have to do with doing a quick format from a CF carder reader. It was suggested that the MS card be backed up, then reformatting... with from the Clie itself, or a full format from a CF reader. I haven't tried it yet, but I'll let you know when I do.
