I used to own a POCKET PC, I know what a sin, (i did learn eventually) and there was one program that it had that I think palm is really lacking in. The today screen, I desperately need a similar program for my nr70v. The ease of seeing my todo items and calender reminders, along with my user info was great. Please tell me that with all the 3rd party software, there has got to be some program that is close to the today program on the pocket pcs

Or, a better idea is to just get an integrated DateBook like:

There is such a program-- a duplicate of the PocketPC Today screen made for the Palm OS. It is called Today. Do a search at www.palmgear.com. Be aware, though, that someone else has released a program also called Today. The one you want is made by Jonas Lindstedt and I believe it is in version 1.7.

Today is free but known to cause problems, i.e. "fatal alert" resets.
Wassup costs $5 and is well worth the price of a happy meal! :D

I have had no problems with Today through two different Clies. Once an update crashed, but the developer corrected the problem immediately. Since you have a NR, you may prefer Wassup since it does support hires+. I still use Today on my NR. Based on the demo, I haven't seen anything in Wassup to be worth giving up supper for. Plenty of people here recommend it, but I have a pretty rigid policy not to buy anything I can't fully experience beforehand (yes, Wassup is a crippled demo).
PS: The "Today" in Tixx link isn't the one I am refering to. See the following:

I actually still use v1.7, which uses only about 1/3 the memory of v1.8 and v1.8 doesn't add anything important to me.
Another option is Facer an app launcher with Today type functionallity.

As I shared on another thread, I use Agendus but don't particularly like switching between split-screen and its "Today" view, so I use "Handbutton" which allows programming muliple apps on the hardware buttons (without any hacks!). First push of the Calendar hardware button I get Agendus with calendar and to-dos "split-screened." Second push of the button pops up Wassup. That fits how I operate nicely :)

I already tried all of those apps and prefer very much Wassup!
None of the other apps are as customizable an versatile as this one, IMHO.
