CESD said on the DB5 yahoo group that the next beta, expected to be released in the next 10 days or so, will have high-density support, which means that tiny fonts will now be supported in the day view. I've asked him to clarify whether that will be available on OS5 devices only or on older Clies as well. I would suspect it's OS5 only, since they are the only devices with high-density support, but I'll let you know what he says.

I wonder if he can work it to where the text would appear as what ever size text you want, including small and tiny, but when you edit the text it temporarily becomes standard size. The program already does this with background and font color. This would allow both in-line editing AND tiny font in day-view.

Here's the response from CESD; OS5 only gets small fonts in the Day view.> Just to clarify, will the tiny fonts be available only for OS5
> devices, or will it also be available on older high-res Clies?
Small and Tiny fonts are available on older high-res Clies in the weekly and list view.
To get small/tiny fonts in the Day view, you MUST have an OS5 device. Sony's Hi-rez API for OS4 devices has no support for tables or editable fields, so support is not possible.
OS5 Clie users will get the support in the day view as that uses the standard OS5 high-density Palm OS API functions...

I can't wait for this beta. Going to rock! I've been waiting for Tiny Fonts for a while... Nice.
Sorry there's no real information in this post. I am just very excited.
