Has anyone had successful communication with Yishow (Yibing) lately? I have sent three emails requesting answers that have gone ignored! :(

Might be time to switch launchers  although I really don't have any gotta have changes to Yishow. It does the job and does it well.

wellsjs,

I emailed just after purchasing with a couple questions, but that was Friday last week. No response either. I figure for the money he should be able to answer in this amount of time.

Come to think of it, Zlauncher's developer is still the best.

I'm starting to wonder if Yibing is taking a sebatical, or as the Aussies say, "gone walk-about?"

I haven't heard from him in quite some time either, but he was never really good at answering emails anyway... most people would only hear back from him when he released a new update that addressed the problems you emailed him about. He doesn't speak English very well, so he often refrains from responding unless he absolutely has to. Keep in mind that there's just one guy doing all of YiShow right now; Yi Bing... ZLauncher has a group of people, one of which is able to speak good english and answer emails. I think Yi Bing gets overwhelmed since his launcer became so popular so suddenly. Also, I'm not sure when the Chinese New Year ends, so he may be on vacation yet along with the ZL staff.

The prolonged silence is worrying, as he used to be releasing updates pretty regularly, but YiShow is working fine for me the way it is now, so I'm not in as much of a hurry to see something new. I just hope he hasn't burned out completely and gone on to other projects for a while :(

Cheers.

Yeah he seemed to only answer important questions...sometimes when i e-mailed him I'd get a response and sometimes I wouldn't...

Judging by his web site, Yi Bing is Chinese. Sat. was Chinese Chinese New Year, and all of Chinese-speaking Asia is shut down at least through Wed., many places are closed for a week or more. Writing to him now is like writing to him on Christmas, he's probably on holiday. That of course doesn't explain his non-responsiveness at other times... I don't use YiShow, so this doesn't affect me, but I thought I'd point it out.

So . . . the next release will have a hangover? :D
