Help! I've been having the same problem with my NR70V where it hangs and I do a reset (either hard or soft) and the screen goes blank but the power button and memory stick lights are on. Both the lights go off when the battery goes flat. Then I recharge it and then it starts but sometimes it doesn't. What is this problem I have? It's frustrating me~!!!

Have you done anything to the ROM of your NR? Theoretically after a hard reset it should be back to factory original. Unless after a hard reset it runs fine until you restore your programs, then it's a software conflict. If it is a software conflict you have to add programs one at a time to figure out which app is causing the issue. It's time consuming but works.

You might also try disconnecting the battery for a little while. Apparently this corrects some errors that even a hard reset won't.

Yeah I guess I'll try installing the softwares again and see what's causing the problem. And how do you disconnect the battery anyway?

Ok now there's another problem, I wanted to try the installation of each software but then, I can't even hotsync it in the first place! Whenever I try, the message "The connection between your handheld computer and the desktop could not be established. Please check your setup and try again." keeps popping up. I even tried exiting the hotsync manager and reloading it but even that can't work. Wonder where the fault is? My PC or the clie?

You might also want to try plugging the cradle into a different USB port. That usually works for me.

I believe I have had this same problem once, and I had to uninstall the desktop software, then reinstall it... worked fine after that... never had the conflict again...
