i didn't think there is a difference in speed/performance between the available modems. i have the ambicom, simply because at the time it was the only one with a driver available. otherwise, i'd say get the cheapest one you can find.

Whoa... has anyone seen those new Pay as you use AOL Cards? It might be a good idea for me to get a cheap one and then get a modem with it cause me and my family travel a pretty often... hmmm would one of those Pay to use cards work with it?

I have an older Pretec 56K that I once used in my PPC. It works well in either the NX70 or NX80 Clie, using the driver modifed by Pelaca in the link listed above.
