Well, maybe not a total fix, but it made a definite improvement. The first I (and only) thing I hate a bout the NX80 is the collpasable stylus that comes with it. It think patr of the reason the screen feel is such a problem is that the way you have to hold the sylus to keep in from collapsing while using it, so I went to Best Buy today and picked up the 3 pack of the standard styli (sp?) and I can say it's very much improved. They definately have a more solid feel.

Well yes, the heavier stylus does help. The stylus included with the NX73/80 is a joke!!!
I loved my old IIIc stylus (big fat heavy version of the NX70 stylus) but found I would press so hard with it that my screen protector was getting scratched by it!

hmmm. Hadn't related stylus to screen sensitivity in considering the other related thread. I almost exclusively use a multi-pen. I consider the built in stylus like a spare tire in your car. For emergency use only!
This is a good point. I use my NR's stock stylus on my NX sometimes when I'm at my desk, because I keep that stylus in the stylus-holder in the cradle, and it does seem easier to write with when I use it. I'm also used to using a PDA Panache stylus on my NR, which is really heavy, so maybe that's part of it too. They make a T|T collapsible stylus, I wonder if they're working on an NX one. I don't know if they'd want to invest in the microscopes needed to make it, though. ;)
I just sent them an e-mail asking, so I'll report back if they respond.
UPDATE:
I got a prompt reply from PDA Panache about the possibility of an NX73/80 stylus, and they basically said that they don't have one right now but will consider my suggestion.
So I guess if nothing is in the works right now, it could be a long time, if ever, before we see one. :(

I purchased a Cross Pen/Stylus combo from Staples. it's the size of a fat Pen. It has a great heft and feels great in the hand. I have absolutely no problems with screen sensitivity on the NX80 with it. In fact, just today I pulled out my iPAQ for the first time now in a few weeks to play some NES Roms, and I could not believe how less responsive it was from my NX80 ...

Thanks for the tip, I'm using a Multifunction pen (the one that have red pen, black pen, pencil and stylus) it works beter.

Funny to say, when I got my NX after reading posts regarding the lack of sensitivity I tjought I am lucky, then after a couple months I strated having some lack of sensitivity especially in the graffity left area when in tablet mode.
1 hour ago I got mad with my unresponsive screen and with a soft cloth I pressed gently but firmly on the screen. I don't know if this will work for long but now it's all OK!!!
I red in another thread a good way to test: use cliememo to make dots. Before in this area dots were not recorded unless i pressed strongly, now it works smooth.
Somehow this reminds me of the MS slot problem of my old NR (in the end it is all a matter of pressure)

How is the cross pen? I am pretty interested in getting one of those cross pens. hehe

Hmm...I missed this thread earlier.
Yeah the collapsible stylus that comes with the 73/80 is horrible.
I still use a cheap-n-dirty alternative that I started using way back on my ole PIII...a disposable Bic retractable pen! I've always got scads of em around the shop and in my service vehicles, and they work pretty darn well as long as you use a screen protector. They will scratch up an unprotected screen...but maybe that's all the gravel-road dust at work too.
Just click the pen in and viola...instant stylus. Click it out...back to paper in a flash.
I use my Clie alot when out on service calls, and the dual-purpose pen/stylus works great when it comes time to write up the paperwork...and it doesn't cost an arm-n-a-leg to replace if ya sit on it and break it! :D
Another cheap stylus alternative is the teflon-tipped stylii that the UPS/FedEx/USPS guys use on their electronic clipboards nowadays. If you sweet-talk your delivery person (this works great if they do their pickup/delivery around the same time you have coffee break! :D), I'm sure they'll score an extra one for ya.
In fact, the teflon tip can be pulled out and stuck on the back of a standard Bic/Biro type pen for a "flip-around" stylus/pen.
My new NX73 has a very 'spongey' screen when I first pulled it out of the box. I had to press pretty hard to get the stylus to connect. But after installing a new Boxwave protector, it responds to bery light touches...even when using the stock stylus.

I just use the regular slim chrome classic cross pen with stylus tip and it seems to work well. The tip is also some flex to it too.

I almost got the chrome one, but I liked the ability to have an ink pen in my pocket at all times as well. Many times I am out and wish I had a pen but don't (just a stylus in my PDA).
To answer dropzone's question, I really like the cross pen. The stylus tip is almost like a rubber rather than a hard plastic, so I don't worry so much about it scratching. It also seems to be slightly textured, so it has a good "paper" sensation when I am writing memos, etc.
The thing I like most though, is something that I worried about. My main concern about having a multi-function pen would be to be in a hurry one day and accidently write on my screen while in Pen or Pencil mode rather than Stylus mode. That would really ruin things quickly. Cross seemed to think about that as well, so they made the stylus tip on one end and the pen on the other. The good part, though, is that the cap on the pen section Screws on to the pen. So you have to go through the motion of unscrewing it in order to get to the pen, while the stylus tip is always available on the bottom. Pretty much rules out those Accidents (unless you're REALLY not paying attention ...).

I had get used to it the default pen. As the bigger the pen is the more pressure you add on it.
