how do i restore my clie nr70v to its rom factory defaults?

If you have never deleted any built in programs before,
soft reset and at the same time depress the power button until you see the Palm logo. After you release the power button, it will prompt you whether you want to do a hard reset. Pushing the up button means yes.

what do you mean by not deleting built in programs? aren't they in the rom of the device?

Yes they are. One can actually delete them using a program called Jacksprat which you wouldnt want to touch if you dont know about it. You're welcome.

so that means i cannot delete anything from the delete menu of Apps as long as they're in the rom, right? basically, i can delete everything i want (without using that jacksprat) or just do a hard reset to my clie to restore it to factory defaults just like what happens when i leave my clie uncharged for a very long time (i assume it's normal that my clie erases everything from the ram if left uncharged for a long time).
