Hi,

I'd like to insert pictures in one of my smartlist database.
I've seen I can create a picture field, but after, I only can draw the picture, not import it.

Is there another way to proceed ?
Do you know a plugins that can do it ?

Yes it can be done! However, the size is only about 150x140 and 256 colors - a major deficiency. The importing must be done from the SL desktop application. Sorry I can't be more specific but I'm not at my work computer and can't try it.

I have tried it on my NR and it is useless. In 256 color and 16 grayscale modes it freezes up when tapping the image icon and has to be soft reset. It will, however, function in black/white mode but for most images, this is unacceptable. Images will import and display fine with the desktop software.

I have attempted this with no active hacks or launchers. I thought to disable hires support but all that did was make the fonts look like cra*.

Do the color and 16 grayscale modes work for anyone else? - or is this a bug?

hmmmm.......I would think that more than just the 3 of us use SmartList to go?

I imported a 256 color image (BMP) via the desktop and it displays fine (albeit, grainy and ugly) on my T615C.

thanks sfringer,
at least I know it should work now. Will try to remove and reload the software and see what happens.

Well I can do it with my NR, but as stated, it's just not worth it with 256 colors.
I'd love to see Smartlist in High-Res 320x480 and 65k colors - wouldn't you!

There was a tinybyte that made full use of graphic capability of ThinkDB called My Coloring Book. Don't know if the following link is still good, but it was impressive.

Me too. They propose a premium version of Document TO GO 5.0 that allows to have spreadsheet and doc hires. Why not continue and do the same for Smartlist ?!

Actually, you don't need the premium version of DtG to get Hi-Res... they released updates to at least SheetstoGo v.4 for Sony Hi-Res.

Exact. The premuim version allows you to add charts in your spreadsheets, and gives you a presentation app like Powerpoint.

Hmmm.....I completely removed SmartList and reloaded it. I am still unable to use any images or create any images without my NR freezing up........except using the b/w mode. Any ideas??

I had a similar problem with ThinkDB about a year ago. Apparently it was caused by something I had on my Clie. Thinkingbytes had me do a hard reset, and either change my user id or delete the backup files and reinstall everything. This corrected the problem it hasn't occured again. Before you do anything that extreme, you might try using an app like Cleanup or SysTool, to try to identify and delete any leftover preferences from previously deleted apps and see if that fixes the problem. I'd probably focus on preferenced related to Smartlist or ThinkDB first and delete them. You will probably have to re-install your registration code, so make sure you still have it.
