I noticed that on the installation of version 3.50.1 Zlauncher required a hard reset of my NX70. After some research I did find mention of it in one of the threads but now I can't seem to find it. My question is this: If I update to 3.61 will I have to do a hard reset as well?
I just need to know for back up reasons.

I've never had a hard reset from installing a ZL update, and I have been a regular beta tester. To be safe, howerver, I would recommend you do a backup before you update any software.

No a hard reset is NOT normal!!! Question, do you have the Sony SystemUpdate Pack installed? It prevents spontaneous hard resets, especially when trying to do a soft reset, when you least expect it. It has something to do with the memory stick and powering issues on reset. I also agree with sebring and as a ZL beta tester too.
Always keep multiple rotating MS Backups, never rely on the desktop PC for backup. It also doesn't hurt the make backup copies of the memory stick to your hard drive, as you never know when Mr. Murphy will strike!;)

Question: I started out with Zlauncher 3.50, but I donīt know if every upgrade from now on will be free... is it free only during 3.x? will I have to pay again in 4.x?

Thanks for the input. I didn't know there was a systemupdate. I'll check it out.
The issue isn't the back up. I have that. It might not even be ZLauncer, it may be with JackFlash. The issue is that when I do a restore, it want's to load everything, including what's in flash memory, which of course it can't. I've never lost anything, just has to spend more time than usual on the restore.
Thanks a bunch.

Please do, it saved me a bunch of headaches with unexpected hard resets, once I installed it. I always kept a copy on the MS too. I would install that and all other drivers first before I restored from MS Backup. Glad to hear you have backups!!!:)
