Yeah, I'm stuck...

My extended warranty is with Circuit City and they no longer have the NZ90, so if something unforseen goes wrong, I pretty much have to either send it in for repair to Sony or wait for the NZ replacement or upgrade to something else...

Saw an open item one at my local BB. It was under $400, like $389 or so. It's beat up a bit, but still, what a great price for someone. $420 is low too.
It is indeed a brick, but a nice machine anyway for that price. Good price drop for people who need a PDA and don't mind the size. Think of what good digital cameras cost by themselves!

What locations are you guys in? Their websites list the device for like 800 dollars! If I had seen it that cheap I would of picked it right away. It is a bit bigger, but not terribly bigger than the current crop of NX's. I think the extra size is worth it for the extra features it has. My local best buy has the NX70v for 450!! Crazy lol.

Fargo ND: BB had a couple open-box NZ90s for $415 (both were pretty ratty looking already). And they still had a couple new NZ90s for $500. New NX80v's were going for $500. New NX70v's were around $450 with at least one open-box NX70v for around $380 (the hinge was very slopped out already).
They did have UX50s on display too, but I don't remember the price...besides out of my budget! LOL

Personally, I would avoid the open-box ones too as I kinda suspect some of those are the warranty "trade-ins" (yeah, I know the sales guy will tell you otherwise, but why should a store have more'n one open-box display model? :D)

From what I've seen and heard of the NZ90, you might not want one unless the uber-camera is of good use to you. Battery-life is short (especially if ya use the flash), and it's just plain BIG, clumsy, and heavy compared to the 70/73/80. I know I'd be happier with an NX than an NZ90...you might like the monster though.

Yep. Discontinued. Marked clearence internally at BB. Sony's making space for the new NZ (announcement due sometime this month according my Sony rep).
