Problem with HRCapt

Hi All,
I installed HRCapt on my nx80. However, I cannot use it. I get the message "Capture Graphics not installed". Any idea what this is?

Have you installed the helper app HRCaptDM? That might be what's wrong.

Yes, I have installed HRCaptDM. As a matter of fact, that's the only way I can launch HRCapt - by tapping on the HRCaptDM icon.

You might need to install the component HrCaptDA, that is the part that actually captures the screen. It requires a Desk Assesory app to launch it. McPhling is a popular app to do this, but DALauncher is another and even ZLauncher can be configured to launch DA's.

Rather, HRCaptDM allows you to view images captured by HRCaptDA and change the settings for where pics are saved and the format that pics are saved in. If you haven't used HRCaptDA before and don't have any screen shots, HRCaptDM will give you the message "Capture Graphics is not found".

So, as cbullock suggested, you need to install a DA Launcher to launch HRCaptDA, then you can go back to HRCaptDM and view your screen shot.

If you are a ZL user:

Make a new tab and select "DA" in the type of tab. Then put the DA in ZL's quick launch plus. Select it from the Quick Launch and then it will capture your screen.

Very easy to do!!;)

I too have a question, though. HRCAPT, when it capture my screen with VG up, makes it all blurred and fuzzy with distorted colors. Also in apps like DizzyDizzy, the colors are distorted.

What to do???:(

OK - so I got hrcapt 1.81E and I config'd a new tab in ZL for DAs and the hrcapt icon appeared automatically. but when I tap it, my NX locks up. What the duce?

OK - solved it... I turned off delay in the DM app. OK not totally solved. it seems that it locks up whenever I set a delay :confused:

Hi - I did solve one problem. by setting the DA as a tab item I can save any screen in Zlauncher. it would be nice to be able to access it from other programs so I can save screen shots of them. I guess I could use some DA launcher. What's the best of those?

Don't know what the best is, but since I use McPhiling anyway, it works well with it. Set HRCaptDA as a favourite and use it from any program.

With McPhiling, I use activation from menu to application, this lets you use it from the bottom panel if the graffiti area is hidden. I've also set activation from holding the back button, handy for programs that also hide the bottom panel.

Rather than accessing HRCapt from a Tab, you can drag the HRCaptDA icon from the DA Tab to QuickLaunchAnywhere (QLA). Once there, it can be available in any screen you want to capture. If you configure QLA to alternately launch on a long press of the back button, for example, you will have the option to then launch HRCaptDA. Because fo this functionality of ZL, I have finally parted with DA Launcher.

Another DA I like is SelectDA; a nice, small DA launcher. When started, SelectDA shows all the DAs on your system and you can tap anyone to start it. I put this on my bottom bar of ZL so I can grad a quick screenshot of my launcher screens. I suppose you could also set it to launch from a button or jog dial giving you access to all of your DAs very quickly.
