When I right click on a webpage one of the options is Convert for CLIE. When I click it, nothing seems to happen (no program processing webpage or anything), I checked the install app and nothing's there. I hotsynced and browsed around through a few different programs and couldn't find where I could view it. So just what app is this for? I'm thinking I installed an application that supported this, uninstalled it on the palm and never got rid of it on the pc side (or just not 100%).
Also, does anyone know how to download a swf file when your viewing it on a webpage, right clicking doesn't allow save as.

In response to your first question, Convert for CLIE is an option that appears when Image Converter is installed. It allows you to convert supported video types into Clie movies on the fly.
You probably have not uninstalled Image Converter from your PC, or have not removed it properly. If you want to remove it, go to your Control Panel of your PC and remove it from there (I'm assuming your using a Windows system).
And yes, right-clicking on the link to a swf file should give you the option "Save Target As..". What browser are you using?

ok I've got image converter installed on my pc, but when I right click on a webpage & select convert for clie, nothing gets added to the list. However, I just clicked on an image and I saw a popup appear then dissapear, so it's probably working, just going to take me awhile to figure it out.
im using ie 6.0.2800.
hmmm, they must have it blocked somehow because file -> save options are not selectable either.

Something I forgot to mention - Image Converter only works for image and video files. The video file types that are supported are mpeg and avi.
I too had a similar experience - When right clicking on one of my mp3s', I noticed the Convert for CLIE option. However, when selected, I get a popup box saying "Selected file's format is not supported". Probably some bug in the program's installation.
I'm using IE 6.0.2600. The "Save target as.." option works fine. Not sure why you can't get it to work with yours. Maybe you can try fiddling around with the settings?

One thing Smokey may not have specified is that you have to have a link that goes directly to the SWF file. Not all web sites have this. Some link to an HTML page that has the SWF file imbedded. Right Clicking on the actual flash item will not give you a Download option. Many websites limit your ability to download the SWF because you could then put it on your own website, taking traffic away from them.

There is an app that retrieves swf files from the cache, I just don't remember the name of it. It's in the archives somewhere!!!

i went through the source and found a direct link to the swf (on the java popup this is on it's about 1/4 this size), here's an example of one...

It's from Men's Health, where they show you how to do various workouts. Since I forget exactly where your body is supposed to be positioned all the time I thought it would be useful to put the swf files on my palm (plus I'd actually use the flash player on it).
If you remember the name of that app, please post it! Until then I'm going to try and use blackwidow (snags all files from a website) and see where it gets me.
Thanks,

Ok, I got them all with BlackWidow, kind of a pain because I had to do each one individually because they denied viewing access to directories (blackwidow normally finds a way around this kinda stuff).
Thanks for the replies!
If anyone else works out and doesn't know all the proper forms (not many know over 100+!!) I am going to rename them all (with the right name); so I'm sure I can zip them up and send them to you. All 117 are less than 2.5 megs.
They play slow on high quality, decent on medium, and about the same on your pc on low quality. Of course on low quality you can still see everything perfect since these swf files aren't detail orientated. Thanks again,
-Nate
ps - I'm so glad that I FINALLY have a use for the flash player!!!!
