Two questions. Is the NX70v being discontinued? And why are prices so high?

Amazon dropped them down to 300 dollars, and now they are up to 600 dollars, as much as an NX80v. And other places still have them listed for 500+ dollars, but why? I also noticed that some places have the NR more expensive than an NX70, I just don't understand why. And are they being discontinued?

Amazon isn't selling it for $599, Office Depot is on Amazon.com. Amazon must no longer be selling it, so, thus, their low-$300 price has disappeared. Further indication that they are disappearing and will probably be gone soon.

if you hunt around you can get them second hand and some places still havea few new, I know one in the UK selling new sealed NX70v for 268 GBP, they have 70 or so left.

They still sell new NX70's at my local CompUSA for $399 :cool: .

I sold mine used for $269, look around, you'll probably find people upgrading to an NX80 and can get a great deal moving up to a 320x480 screen!

ye, amazon is done wit nx70s, ull have to browse ebay or maybe u can get a deal from somebody round here

Actually, I got one coming in from Amazon for 300. These questions were just to satisfy my curiosity. It's just strange to me that the prices on these things can vary so much from dealer to dealer.

Prices of NX70 in Taiwan are not dropping but as far as I've heard....
Sony Taiwan doesn't plan to sell it anymore which means probably they will stop its production...

Just because Sony dropped the price, doesn't mean that the retailer has to.;)
