Help! CF Not Working NX73

Have a NX73 and a 1GB IBM Micro Drive. Purchased both in the last week. CF worked at first, now after it was used in Canon digital camera it will not work. Error message in Clie Files is "an error has occurred" and behind the error message is a dialog box "creating the file list one moment please...". Help!

I have tried formatting the CF in the NX73 and no help. Tried formatting on PC in FAT, NTSF and FAT32 formats, no help.

My goal is to use IC to create nmovies which will reside on CF and transfer to MS for play.

Any help is appreciated.

Ok, new information. If the MS is removed then the CF can be accessed. How then to transfer files to MS if both cannot be in NX73 at same time?

I'm not sure, but I don't think those microdrives work correctly in the NX series. They aren't recommended because they are mini-harddrives, and not solid state memory cards. This means they have a platter or two that spins via a motor. This means that it takes more power than regular solid state cards..but I could be wrong.

Nope! You are right! The power required is too much for the Clie to handle on writes to the drive. It's okay for read only though.:)

ok, so any thoughts on how to have both cf and ms active for file xfer from cf to ms?

Use a "flash memory" based CF card instead of a microdrive.
