I need a Clie or Palm to take with me to the gym to track my workouts. I don't want to spend a lot of money because I just ordered my UX50 which will be my primary Clie. I want something that isn't too fragile since I will be leaving it on the gym benches or floor while I'm working out. I was thinking about getting a SL10 or SJ20 but I'm not sure. Does anybody have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

They are all pretty tough. Thehe heavier/more expensive/more complex clies are made of metal and therefore are as tough as the lighter/cheaper/simpler plastic clies.
The toughest palm is the zire.
Actually the toughest is the NX80, but thats "real" toughness. Magnesium!!!
A good balance is the TG50. It is also made of magnesium but has far far far fewer moving parts. No moving screen, retractable card slot, or camera to worry about. Just a plastic cover that always pops off when dropped, as if it were an airbag of sorts.
Plus the last run of the TG50's are overclockable to twice the speed of the NX80.
PS-I just noticed that you said you had a UX50. That's pretty tough by itself. Just go to the gym with that, and maybe get a lanyard to wear the UX50 around your neck.

Symbol's SPT 1550 is probably the toughest out of all the Palm Powered devices.
I was also going to mention symbol "palms" 15xx and 17xx series .. they have WiFi (some models) buitl in but os3.5 or so ..

Why not just pick up the original, the PEG-S300? I've had mine for over two and a half years, dropped it many times, once from over 20 feet. It hit objects on the way down, ending up landing on cement. The only thing that broke was the stylus. You can find the S300 for about 10 bucks on E-bay, so, if you lost it or it broke, it wouldn't be such a loss. Just a suggestion.

Thanks guys for the ideas. I won't feel comfortable carrying my UX50 around the gym just because of how expensive it is and when I'm doing certain exercises my eyes won't be on it so I don't want to risk haven it taken. I was looking at the Symbol devices but they are not cheap on eBay. I also saw the Aceeca Meazura on PalmEvolution.com but it's very new so it's not on eBay yet. Here's a link if you're curious.
