View Full Version : 2 things I still can't do: dial phone from UX or get to hotmail

Can anyone help me with this? What's bizarre, is that in the phonebook app I've enabled tap dialing. However, when it prompts me to select the connection method (when it takes you to the 'phone' screen in prefs), it only gives me 1 choice (Sony BT to GSM, which is not what I use...). I can also choose 'edit selections' at which point the whole list comes up. But I can't select the one I need in the 'phone' section.

Anyone?

As for hotmail, no browser I've tried (netfront, xiino or blazer) will work...with either hotmail or mobile.msn.com.

Anyone?

Thanks,
TM

It just got screwier. Now, in SMS, same thing happens...wont let me select the connection I was using earlier (a custom one I created). ARG! But I CAN use my custom connection for email and web surfing. What's going on? How come SMS and the phone prefs wont let me select anything other than Sony-Generic BT phone? I had it set to custom before...it was working!

Turns out (no thanks to Picasoz, google, searching other threads) that you need (or at least my UX50 needs) to have 2 separate BT connections: one for phone apps (SMS and phone book dialing), the other for web and email. One needs to be set to connect to a 'local network' the other to a 'phone.'

Hope that helps anyone.

BTW Picasosz and others, the Sony Connection Manager has not been updated yet for the UX50.
