I have a NX70 and am trying to make Bump Attack Pinball run from the memory stick. I have copied all the files into a folder in the programs folder under subfolders GAMES/Bump. I create a shortcut to the program file on the Clie in a Games tab. (using Zlauncher). When I run the game, it tells me it can't find the database file or it is corrupted. I have deleted it and reloded it several times and I think that it isn't corrupted, just can't find the databse on its own. Does anyone know if it is even possible to run this game this way? I do have a couple other games set up that way but they don't seem to have databases, just the prc file.

I am a new user so I wouldn't be suprised if it is just "Defective End User".

thanks in advance for the help:)

You need to leave the database files in RAM. I don't know how to run Bump Attack with database files on the card. I doubt it is possible.

I wonder, would PowerRun work for him? I don't use PowerRun nor have I ever tried it. The YiSHow launcher will possibly transfer databases when launching the app. Voyager, you could try an experiment with the demo/trial apps.

I have been reading about PowerRun and it seems like it would do what I need but I am hesitant about loading something like that on my Clie. I like the way it works now. I have Zlauncher and SplashPhoto on there and a couple little games. I will try just moving the DBF to internal and see if that works. Iambic's web site isn't really very user friendly. I'll let ya know how it turns out. Worse case scenario is that i load the game the way it is supposed to be..

Get PowerRun. I have all of my apps loaded through PowerRun (games, databases, apps that need to be synced, everything), and they all work flawlessly. The program is super-easy to work with, too!

I have over 35 apps loaded exclusively on my Memory Stick through PowerRun -- and I have over 9MB of free space. And I'm not talking about obscure, tiny apps, either: Zap! 2016, Bejeweled!, iSilo, AcidImage, NetFront, Datebk5, etc... PowerRun has totally changed the way I use my Clie; I can now load up all of my favorite apps without discretion!!!

IT JUST WORKS.

thanks mashoutposse! I think I might give it a try sometime. For all those that answered my question, here's what I had to do to get it to work, I had to move the main menu.pdm to internal and at least one of the tables I wanted to use. I can store the tables on the memory stick and just load them when i want to use them. they each take up about 150k(average). I only have about 6 megs of ram left so I am trying to use it carefully. I haven't even loaded my pictures on the card yet. I purchased Splash Photo at the suggestion of several ppl in these forums and it works great.(tried few sample pics). Although I am a new N70 User, I install computer based POS systems for a living, including wiring buildings, building computers, networking and training staff so I'm not exactly a newbie where computers are concerned. I hope that I may be of assistance to some of you people in the future.

(I know I'm not done asking questions about my Clie in here yet!)

BTW, I just tried Bump Attack with PowerRun -- works like a charm! :) (And the game is beautiful, too!!!)

hehehe. you should be a salesman for PowerRun. I'm trying to copy a file called AVX mp3 decoder back to Internal after I copied it to my memory stick, it says; the data storage of the handheld is full, but it shows that i have 7540k free.. Whats up with that?

You moved one of the Sony update files(avxmp3) and you can't do that! It becomes part of the OS, but resides in RAM. You may have to reinstall the update! Sorry

I reinstalled the update remembering what exactly that update did the first time I installed it. I don't really know if I need them anyway. If I use mp3's at all it will be in the mp3 form not the other. Some of my games run from the stick, others need to be installed. Simple.. lol.. Thanks for your help..
