Install LauncherX

I don't know if this is normal. I download LX demo about 360kb. From what I understand the file suppose to self-extract on my palm into components and then let me delete pieces that I do not need. Everytime, I install it, by clie gets Fatal error. When I try to launch LX, it said browser file is missing. What am I doing wrong?

I was able to find LXBrowser.prc and use one of the Lubak skin. Now LX runs, but it's about 360kb. Is that the correct size? :confused:

360KB is the correct size if you choose not to slim it down on it's first run. Other's just made posts about this in the past day or two, and if they downloaded directly from the LauncherX web site (www.launcherx.com), that version extracted properly.

That's the version I use. I get FE as soon as Launcher X starts. After, I reset the clie, then it said missing LXBrowser.prc

I can try blowing everything out and just try it with a clean machine.

just install 1.0 then install 1.02 over top

Thanks, I will try that. I think I have 1.0 around. I nuked 1.0 because the icons acted weird. :p

this seems to be a problem after some programs are run.
i've tested from a brand new hard-resetted clie and i can install the self-uncompressing prc but it will give that lxbrowser error after i reset it once or twice or install a few things. so i make sure the 1.02 is the first thing i install from a hard reset.

Problem solved.

I think Rei has an accurate theory. So I installed LX on my old visor platinum and just beam the unbundled "Launcher X" component to my Clie. I saved 170kb from that move and LX appears to be faster. I am happy as clam.
