I am having trouble with my Clie 665C and the KB11 keyboard. Things worked well for a few weeks but now when I hook up the Clie and the keyboard after tyuping a letter I will start to get spaces put in what I am typing. It's almost as if the space key is stikcing but it isn't. Does this sound like a software or hardware (keyboard) problem?

Have you changed anything on the Clie recently? How about adding Over/Under clocking utilities. Installed any other Drivers for 'things' that also use the Serial connector.
Do you get extra spaces after typing a space? Or random spaces introduced in the typed text?
What version of the Driver are you using?

I don't think I changed anything. I am always playing with my Clie adding and subtracting but I think everything is fine. The keyboard program is the one that came from Sony. It is v1.8s.
Typically, I will type one letter and then if it is going to act up (which sometimes it does not) it will start adding spaces so that I have to remove it from the keyboard.

Are you running anything that would change the processor speed?
Do you have any other Drivers (modems, game pad,..) installed that use the Serial port?

Debug method: Backup your Clie to a Memory Stick (MS Backup), then hard reset the device to clear everything back to factory default. Next install ONLY the KB11 driver (and bypass HotSync's device restore). Now try typing...
If you can type without any problem on the keyboard at this point, then it's something to do with the software that you had installed. However, I can't assist further more without knowing what you have on the device.
Good Luck.

thanks for the suggestions. I have nothing else that uses the connection besides the keyboard and the hotsync so I uninstalled everything and am reinstalling. The keyboard is working fine so far but we shall see.
