I found several _a68k file left in the ram of my clie which I tried to delete with TealMover but did not succeed. What are those files for? I find each application file will be accompanied by a file with similar name ending with _a68k. Sometimes when I delete an application, it's _a68k file will be removed automatically as well, but sometimes it will not. Can someone let me know more about it please?

Also Undelete has a a68k file remover. It tells you how many ther are and how much room they take up and how many it gets rid of.

A warm reset will allow deletion of the .a68k files. Follow said deletion with a soft reset.

If I remember correctly, one can also set the 'Recyclable' attribute on these files (using FileZ or similar utility) and then perform a soft-reset.
Hmm, where did all the a68k files go? I was trying to verify my above statement, when I found I could not find any a68k files on my device. I use to remember seeing them all the time. I assume that was back on my TT. Apparently something has change between my TT and my now LD. Ahh, I see; there is now only eleven a68k file, named 'PACERsrcDB0' to 'PACERsrcDB9' and 'PACE Data Store Reserve'. Apparently PACE now only keeps the last 10 applications' ARM converted resources.

You may know this, but you don't need to delete the .a68k files for apps you have on the device. As soon as you run an app compiled for the 68k CPU, you'll get the file reinstalled. It doesn't hurt to delete them, but it doesn't help, either. If the app has been removed from your device, you can save a few bytes by removing the .a68k file.

If you try to delete the a68K file at the same time you are cleaning apps off your handheld, the a68k file won't delete since it is locked by the app still in your system. Uninstall the app, soft reset, then delete the a68k file. This is the only way I know how to do it, and it works.

It only deletes those files it can. I've noticed when using this feature that many times you have to try the delete command numerous times and even so it leaves most of the files it finds.
