is it possible to develop biometric security (fingerprint scanning to be exact) on a clie (i've seen one on the MS's but i mean on the actual device, using the screen to input? i mean can't they record your print and use it to relate to a PKI somewhere and unlock it?

No, you need some pretty specific hardware to scan a fingerprint. A voiceprint, maybe, but I'm not sure I'd trust that.
