CompUSA in Tacoma, WA got 4 in monday, the 8th. Funny thing is they didn't seem to know it. I had been there on Sunday and had the salesperson do a search to see if any of their stores in WA had them, and none did. Today, Tuesday the 9th, I went back in to the Tacoma Store and the salesperson, a different one, said he had no idea, and didn't know when they would be getting any. I asked him to do a search and he said he couldn't unless I had a SKU #. I explained he could search on the product name and when he did he found they had 4 in the back room. I would think if you have a CompUSA nearby, and they haven't sold out, you should be able to pick one up. When I think about it it doesn't surprise me, because, at least in my area, CompUSA carries the widest selection of Clies. Sony obviously knows that. Or maybe their distribution system is just more efficient.

That's kind of concerning that the CompUSA employee couldn't figure out how to search for the Clie until you explained it to him (searching by product name being a novel and difficult concept). It makes me wonder if they have UX50s in my CompUSA here and just have no idea how to find them.

It's very possible, I don't know how long it would have taken them to actually figure out they had any. Ask them to check and see if any are expected, and if they are there it will come up. Oh yeah, and be patient. I'm not positive some of these people have any experience using a computer ;)
