I just got MaxMAME working on my zaurus and was unimpressed with the speed...it's playable, but since the original machines ran at little more than 2 mhz, I can't imagine why I don't have to slow down the proc! anyways, Can someone post an average FPS or something? Or do the games run too fast for you sometimes? I was thinking maybe we could get the same game and time how long it takes to get to the title screen...it's not the best method, but on MaxMAME, there's a function that allows you to set a 'bookmark' of where you want the emulator to run to, then it creates a log showing all the processes and timing info....so i could mark the title screen, then see how fast it is, then someone with Xcade could just use a stopwatch or something...I dunno I'm just throwing around ideas, I'm just super curious to see how they compare

I just installed Xcade last night and found to my disappointment a rather annoying registration motivator. It plays fine for a few minutes, and then the game is intentionally slowed down. The README that is included mentions that registration fee de-cripples the program.

Who here can honestly say they bother to register programs that only make them tap once or twice a play session and have no gameplay impediments?

Yeah, that's what I thought... Xcade lets you play a bit to see if you like it and then gives you a reason to actually register. Demos are just that: demos, NOT free versions that you pay for if you have money to spare.
