Considering NX70V

Hello. I'm 12, and I currently use a Sony Clié PEG-SJ22. I am considering upgrading to an NX70V for the MP3 feature, enhanced proprietary sound system, built-in camera, voice recording feature, HiRes+ 320x480 screen, and enhanced IR with Clié Remote Commander software. Palm OS 5 with 200Mhz processor wouldn't hurt either. Does anybody think this is worth the $400 it costs? Please input advice ASAP!

Is this for a new unit? Used? From a local store?

Sorry I haven't followed prices closely. If it's $400.00 new from a local store, then the price is probably not that bad, although I thought I had seen it cheaper at $369.00 USD.

$400 is too much if thats US dollars. I'm actually selling mine used for $269, in good shape to someone locally. You can get one NEW from Amazon for $320, $480 for NX73, $589 for NX80.

The NX70, if priced at around $300, is a great bargain and I'm sure you'll love it. The screen is what sold me towards Palm away from an iPAQ. (Well and the abundance of apps and the nicer looking interface, Pocket PC still looks to unrefined)

I've seen them as low as 315 new, from Harmony i believe. you certainly need a memory stick of 64 or more mb (dunno if you already have one for your sj22). you can get a 128 ms for as low as 30 online, overstock methinks. if you have access to wifi, go with the wifi card, $65, $15 after rebates if you look carefully. if you deem it necessary, buy a case, but if you wear cargo pants (which i would consider a safe assumption) just dropping it in a lower zippered or buttoned pocket is fine: perfectly safe and much easier to get out. so about $400.

$400? No way...you can get the NX73v for $409 from www.harmonycomputers.com

Amazon.com has the NX70v for $319, and that is a good price, considerin' that Overstock.com has refurb NX70v's for $330

The camera isnt all that good, i was hoping .3 megapixels is good enough, too bad. Now im tryin to get an NZ. Voice recording is good and so is the screen. I got plenty of mp3s with a 256meg ms card, and a bunch of games but def $400 is too much. Look around online.

For a 12 year old, he would need someone to order for him. Otherwise he can just walk into Best Buy.
