remote control & multiregion dvd

heard a rumour that clie using remote control app can be used to mod dvd players to multi region, is this true? & of course how?

I highly doubt it. The control for that is within the internal code of the DVD. However, if there is an control code that can be sent to the DVD to activate the multiregion feature, then you probably could. Guess it would make it easy for the manufacturer to do one ROM, and just select the features by the remote. Hey your 1000 buck DVD could be the same one as your 200 dollar one :D
You would need find which models, and then figure what are the codes you have to enter. Should be interesting to find out.
